Last Tuesday's wheel-throwing taster was our busiest yet: six newcomers, eleven bowls, four mugs and one magnificent collapse.

We're often asked what actually happens in a taster class, so this time we brought a camera. Use the arrows or dots to flip through, or just let it play.
Everything made on Tuesday is now drying on shelf three. It goes into the kiln next week, then gets glazed in whatever colour its maker picked (four people chose “Tatra blue”, which tells you something), and fired a second time. Collection is in about two weeks — we'll email everyone.
The collapse? It was a very ambitious vase. It is now a very good ashtray-shaped learning experience, and its maker has already booked the four-week course.
Next taster is on Tuesday. Two seats left at the time of writing.
